Where would you guys recommend for a new front bumper? It's a 55 hardtop, not that it matters. Don't wanna break the bank, but don't put one on that will rust or peel in a year either. TIA.

Haven't had a bumper done but I did have my '53 Chevy grille plated by Bumper Boyz. They did a great job and I will be sending them more when I get to it. Be aware that there are stories on the net about how bad they are but I've had good luck with them.

ive read horror stories about buying new repop chromed anything. a few years or a few times rained on and rust quickly...i dont know about that...but, for my 51 pickup , my wife found a 1050 cadillac bumper on ebay last year out in california, some young guy sells nothing but bumpers , his name is leonard . he had a hookup on a chrome shop he uses for his personal vehicles. so he saved me 2x shipping by doing that and the chrome shop did a really good job and cheaper than I could find locally ( north alabama) , straightened a few dents and the plating is top notch. I'll be sending him a hood ornament to re-do sometime too.

Life's more fun, in a '51

Bumper boyz. My bumper started chipping about
one month after I reinstalled it.
If you want your bumpers done right there some
good shops out there, but the price is high.
Remember you get what you pay for.

I have a smoothie bumper from Danchuk, and it fit great and looks awesome. It's been on the car about 8 years and over 20,000 miles and still looks great.
