I have a 2005 Silverado extended cab Z71
I looking at possibly getting some new tires and have found Pirelli Scorpian ATR LT 265/70 R17 on line that I like. But they say these tires are not compatible with my truck.
I don't understand???
What am I missing.

Possible that its NOT a size the came on the vehicle and that's generic liability response.

In today's litigious society, recommending a size not standard for the vehicle opens them up to liability concerns.

It's the correct size for the truck, I'm wondering that because they are 10 ply might be the problem. Stiff ride

If they aren't the same speed rating as the OEM tires that could be another catch.

Hmm, I know a website that offers a lot of aftermarket wheels and tires. They have a systematic way of showing the measurements, tire types, and tire brands, so you wouldn't have to worry about any confusing interfaces. Give 4WheelOnline a try.
