Why would you want to?

I converted my 1965 C10 to have power disc brakes and it stops easier and faster.

Welcome to the site lancebon. Hyrdoboost and vacuum power brakes have advantages and disadvantages. Several parts do have to be swapped. Do you have manuals for both? I worked on an '07 Silverado 1500HD last week. The brake lights were not working. To my suprise, it had factory hydroboost brakes. Diesels used them due to poor vacuum.
Do you have all the parts needed? Are there any differences in engines? I've never done a conversion so I can't help with details.

be mindful regarding unusual conversions .

Mechanics often refuse to work on them.

Like I can't get a mechanic to work on mine if they are AAA grade mechanics. And many others will refuse to work on it once they realize something so extensive has been modified.

It has to do with liability and risk losing their mechanics license. and or certifications.

For example Mechanic I know refused to work on park brake system because the owner wanted him to modify it. He explained he could lose his shop if he was caught modifying it for the owner. .

when asking Questions its related to van I own: 1987 GMC 3/4 ton G2500 vandura, V6, No AC, standard length. 3speed trans(no overdrive).
