My 94 350 1/2 ton 4wd stumbles and hesitates on takeoffs with the egr connected. I get no check engine lights with the lead connected. With the lead disconnected the pickup runs fine, but I eventually get a check engine light. I have replaced the plugs, plug wires, the rotor, and rotor cap. The throttle body was replaced this year because of worn bushings.
Any ideas what could cause this issue.

I assume code is a 32-egr not working when you get one when it’s disconnected?

Did problem start when the TBI was replaced or before/after?
If at same time, perhaps check vacuum line is to correct place, I don’t recall where it should be but seems like valve is opening but perhaps too fast.

Regardless, seems like troubleshoot egr is place to start.
There’s a good egr troubleshooting here https://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/showtopic.php?t...

Are you sure you have the EGR vacuum control vale connected properly?

One port is open to atmosphere and the other is the vacuum source line.

If it is hooked up correctly (the smooth nipple is the one that should be open; from factory they usually had a small foam filter attached) - then the EGR valve is likely bad (broken internal spring opening too easily) or the wrong part #.

Reading these articles got me thinking about mine doing about the same thing except my egr solenoid Has power to it but dose not seem to have a ground could yours be like that , l have not solved mine but pretty sure I m going to ground the wire and then make sure the egr valve is working properly.
