Ok few questions here.
Key off. Lights on or off?
If switch is unplugged do lights go out?
See if there is a reverse lamp relay... May be stuck.
Have you tried disconnecting the battery for a minute or so?

here are my test results
key off- lights off
switch unplugged-lights on
batt disconnect reconnect after a few min-lights on
jumper plug at switch-lights on
no power at plug to switch
door closed, car running or not, nuetral, headlights on or off,-lights stay on

I dont see a specific relay for B U lamp but i did pull the relay in the dash panel DRL relay and lights stay on

Ok.
I will try to find a diagram.
For whatever reason wiring diagrams appear to be worth gold over the last years. All of my sources for wiring diagrams are gone.
If I could see a diagram I could lead you in a better direction.
I would figure the trigger is a negative(-)
Which may be grounded right now and causing the lights to stay on. It would be grounded in the harness to the switch which is only controlled when the key is on
