Hoping I can get a little help in sourcing a part. When I got the Delray 15+ years ago I remember the trunk being secured with a coat hangar, and now during reassembly I see why. I don’t have the piece that bolts to the inside of the trunk, but my google searches keep showing me the piece that attaches to the trunk lid. Can someone tell me what this part is called?
And if someone has one to sell, please let me know.
Thanks,
Brian

That’s the trunk striker. I’m not familiar with the ‘58s, but I don’t know if anything is actually missing there. I think the latch actually engages in the hole to hold the trunk closed. The hook part of the latch wraps around the side of the striker and goes through the opening in the side. It may be bent or need adjustment and the latch not engaging with it. You’d have to climb in the trunk with a light and close the lid to see exactly what is going on.

Wagonman, thanks for the reply. I should have given a better explanation, the pic isn’t my car, found it on the google, the circled piece painted silver is what I don’t have. I believe you did give me the answer I was after, though. I will look for trunk “striker“ instead of “latch”.
Thanks

You will find repos for I think 62-64.
They look similar but I don't know if they are interchangeable.

They look similar, but I don’t think they interchange. There is one on EBay right now:
