Hi folks.
Can anyone help me out? I need photos of the column shift linkage for a 1962 Impala with a cast iron powerglide in it. From the column to the transmission and all the linkage at the transmission. There is also a linkage that goes from the carburetor to the transmission for kickdown. Any help would be appreciated. I've searched the internet until I'm blue.
Cheers,
Don

I have the linkage for a 62 cast iron power glide removed from a 62. It’s different than a 62 aluminum power glide linkage.
The bracket welded to the frame for the linkage is a cast iron PG only Bracket.

You have to find an original car for pictures on the car. Not many left in junk yards. Perhaps someone on this forum has one ( they were used behind 283 and 6 cylinder motors).

The 62 assembly manual shows what you need in detail. The manual is available from many suppliers including Amazon and ebay.

Thanks. Mine is a cast iron that was behind a 283. Are you able to send pictures of what you have?

Thanks for that. I'll have to check it out, if I don't have any luck here.

Thank you. What did you put in its place? I was going to put in a short TH350c but it is quite a bit longer than the short powerglide both in total length and where the mount sits. If it had been the long powerglide it should have been a bolt in. I decided to stick with the powerglide in order to get this car back on the road as quickly as possible. It's been sitting for far too long.

If Paul does not have what you need I may have most of it from a 61 283/Cast Iron Glide. I know I have the linkage from steering column to the frame mounted bracket, the passing gear bellcrank that mounts to the transmission/rear if engine. A couple more pieces of linkage.
