Hello all,
My 60 is new to me, the prior owner owned her since the late 80s. I suspect the Impala sat outside the last few years because of the weathered undercarriage as the car was restored in the late 80s. I noticed the previous owner installed two gas filters so I removed the one attached directly to the carb only to discover a lot sediment in the filter that looks like rust dust. I have decided to not mess with the installed tank and will replace it with new. Any suggestions where I should buy tank and sending unit(some tanks might be better than others)?
Thank you

Buy a steel tank made in Canada by Spectra Premium, they have a good quality tank and a very reasonable price, check any old car vendors or Rock Auto.

This one:

A direct replacement.

Shop around for the part number; you may find a better price.

    In response to Christjazz1, 1960... Here's a couple for a '60 Impala (16 gal). I guess engine size doesn't matter.

Late yr model (Dec. 51 BelAir/ 52 trim), with a basically stock 67 Camaro SS350/295hp Turbo Fire Edelbrock 1405, Saginaw 4spd/355 geared 55/6 Chevy rear.2,1st place, and 1 top five award trophies so far
