I am curious if my many problems with my new (used) truck is normal or not for these year trucks, and if I should make a stink to the dealer.

I bought a used 2013 Chevy Silverado from a dealer as a temporary replacement farm truck, and a permanent commuter vehicle. I bought the truck 3 weeks ago as I figured what vehicle doesn't have some surface rust on the frame?

I was jacking the truck up yesterday with the floor jack, using the frame under the driver side door. I heard a bunch of cracking and crunching, slowly took the jack down and found a lovely new nickel sized hole in the bottom of the frame. 2 feet of the frame looks like surface rust, but after finding this hole I am guessing it must be actual corrosion.

Total issues that have popped up in last 3 weeks alone:
-Driver side rear window control pops out of door
-Brakes were totally worn, replaced yesterday
-Tire pressure sensors on 2 tires gone bad
-2 flat tires
-Rust hole in frame

Are these common issues in the 2013 model truck?

Pardon, but I see a list of issues that have much more to do with how the truck has been treated than how it was designed/built?

I guess I could elaborate on my comment.

-Driver side rear window control pops out of door = types of things commonly found broken on work trucks

-Brakes were totally worn, replaced yesterday = truck is 7+ years old, how long should brakes last?

-Tire pressure sensors on 2 tires gone bad = batteries in TPMS sensors tend to last 7-10 years

-2 flat tires = how is this the fault of the truck?

-Rust hole in frame = without knowing history of the truck, hard to say, could have come from rust belt area or had been subject to undisclosed flood damage. You saw the rust before you bought it but did not inspect further.

In NY I would not be one bit surprised with a rotted frame. Too bad only 7 years old.
I see it constantly here.
Trucks bent and twisted, folding, can't even lift them.
I was very lucky that I got my 90 to last to 30 years but it was very difficult.
With the frame integrity I would contact the dealer. For the rest sounds like normal wear.
Depending on the price of the vehicle is where the question of if it should have been done before hand

My thoughts exactly.

how long should brakes last? That's like asking: How long should a roll of toilet paper last....... it depends on how you use it.

Sorry to hear about your truck. I purchased a new Silverado in 2015. It now has over 50,000 miles and is the best vehicle I have owned over the last 55 years.

Frame issue is a legitimate concern. The rest of the issues.... your problem IMO - they are mainly maintenance issues that should've been spotted in an inspection.
