Hello, I just bought a 72 c20 with a 350/th350. When I bought it would sputter very bad under load, especially uphill. Which led me to believe there’s a clog in the tank. Clean the tank, new fuel filter, no change. Then truck starts to overheat and burned the turbo350, I then pulled a 700r4 and installed it. Flushed cooling system and new thermostat and new water pump. No longer overheat but still stumble. Truck start up on first crank and the initial accelerating is smooth. Right up til about 45 miles an hour. It start stumbling and revs would go up and cut out and go up and cut out, it will not go over 2500rpm. And once i hit the brakes and try to accelerate again, it would stumble the entire way. Checked timing and set it to 12 BTC, new plug and wires, distributor cap and rotor. Replaced Edelbrock carb accelerator pump. New mechanical fuel pump too. I feel like I tried everything but nothing seems to be solving my problem. This is my first Chevy hope some of the guru can give me a hand. Much thanks and here’s a photo of it [image]https://ibb.co/ZLcYzPX[/image]

pop the cap off to check for points. i would get rid of a points distibiter. if you do ,shop wisely. for a driver i would probly go with an hei style.

Well.... new msd ready to run installed. Timed to 10 degrees btdc and same exact thing. it might be a carb issue?
