Recently bought a pair of rotors AC Delco Detroit
along with a Timken Bearing/Race Sets. Confused on which way to go..remove the AC Delco races and use the Timken sets? Or use the AC Delco races? - if I can even get the AC Delco races out! \
Thanks.
Stan

I would use the races that go along with whichever bearings you use.

'57 210, 327 cid, Holley MPFI, 700R4, A/C & more.
'51 Studebaker Starlite coupe, 350, TH400, GV OD.
'96 Replica of a 1950's Teardrop Trailer.

ok. that's what I will do as well. Thanks Larry!

I did notice a little smoother action right away with the Timken race when I put the bearing in both races. Timken are labeled USA

AC Delco races read PEER CHINA

There is normally notches in the rotor hub that allow access to the back edge of the race. You can use a large punch or drift to knock the race out.

You replace bearings and races as a set.

thanks acardon there was ah notch in the hub Used a hard softer punch that needed a little refurbishment along the way, and a 2.5# sledge to get them out. I didn't care for the rough interior of the holes but I guess that's how its done, idk. AC Del. Pro. rotors too! Makes me wish I'd bought Centric Pro. as they are very round products. All done now. Was going to put the front back together but had a water leak in the shed that needed attention first.Isn't that just the way of it!
Thanks Again.
