I had an alternator fry a while back. The grommet with the main power wire melted causing it to ground out. A subsequent noise developed in the transmission.

Not the easiest to figure out on video but it seems to be an electronic type noise. You cant feel it on the shifter or transmission.

Any ideas?

Definitely hard to tell long distance, but it seems a little bit similar to a noise my '94 2500 made after the transmission blew up and got swapped with a rebuilt unit. If I recall, the fuel hard lines were buzzing against the transmission case. That one can be hard to spot; I spent a lot of time under the truck with a bright light trying to isolate it.

Hopefully that's all it is. Odd noises are generally a bad sign with any transmission, but particularly with 700R4/4L60/4L60E's...
