Good Day All,

Well the military will be moving my family again next summer so it's time to get rid of extra parts so I don't go over my allowable household good weight limit.

I want to put this ash tray on Ebay for sale and want to confirm it's correct year and that it is an original and not REPOP crap. This ash tray was in my car when I purchased it 10 years ago and it was not correct for a 1964. It appears to be a 1963 but wanted to confirm that with you guys and make sure it is not Chinese junk.

Can you guys please help me confirm?

Thanks

Shane

Looks very much like a '63 (I have no idea if any other years). It IS an SS trim tray.

here's a pic of my '63 Impala (not SS). It shows the front of the tray and the Impala dash trim.

I would like to suggest that it is a 64 SS ashtray but a 64 SS with air conditioning as it does not have the pull knob. Ac cars should have had a under dash ash tray because the oe ashtray would have had ciggy ashes blow out when the center duct/outlet was in operation. Verne would give a definitive answer.

Cars with the A/C had the original ash tray and a secondary installed under the dash.

Correct. That is a '63 SS ash tray.
