For those who wish to convert their front ball wheel bearings to tapered roller bearings, the source I have used for MANY years is Allied Bearing in Los Angeles. https://www.yellowpages.com/listings/9492737/dire c...
They ONLY fit 49-54 pass cars and 53-62 Corvettes. Some of the aftermarket Chevy and Corvette vendors sell them, but at a higher price than Allied (Allied MAY be the importer). These roller bearings for early Chevys and Vettes are NOT available through retular auto parts sources/stores such as NAPA, O'Reilly, etc.
Here is what the inner and outer roller bearings look like.

you did show the numbers on the cups for both. what are the nbrs. on the bearings themselves.
