Howdy, I am trying to remove all the paint from my intake manifold. I've tried all the products in the picture, nothing worked. What I have left is a gooie mess which I can't paint. Aircraft paint remover is no longer available due to the EPA. Help Please! Thanks!

Yes sir, some type of composite material. Pretty hefty. Any thoughts?

the best way is a light media cabinet blasting. Here is a video that may help. power washer after you apply this stuff really helps. may need a small brush for the nooks and crannies

It contains methylene chloride which was banned by the EPA in 2018 except for industrial uses. It's what was in aircraft paint stripper. I used it a lot, it really worked great, but you can only get a few cans via eBay.

Try some brake fluid. I know it will work on some paint.

You may be able to get some aircraft stripper from a body shop supply house. If they won’t sell to you, go to a local body shop and see if they will get you a can. I think even that has been reformulated because I heard our painter say the newer can he has does not work as well as the older stuff he had left over. Though I’m not sure about the effect the stripper will have on plastic.
