Search DZAuto (Tom Parson) he as answered this many times. I need to have him post it as a sticky, because I cannot pull it out of a topic.

actually, i've never been "good" at the search function, that was helpful in another way!

Found eckler's. Just out of curiosity, at 144 bones, they are worth the upgrade right? cause I have some bearings in storage... Likely will just throw in the tapereds under the assumption that they are safer and will last longer with frequent 65-70mph driving?

Also, does the installation still mean 33ftlbs and then back off to the nearest 1/6th where a cotter can go in? Or however its worded - i've of course done it more than a couple times having put many miles on my car, i just want to be sure the procedure isnt different. I just did a rear bearing seal on a 3/4 ton chevy (2002 MY) and it was: "tighten to XX foot pounds while turning the hub at the same rate as the wrench then back off X/X turn" the result was more or less finger-tight but the initial pressure had pressed everything into place

These are ordered and should be here this week. I am going to go this, measure my hubs for runout, new shoes, and the 4 new tierods (once the elongated adjusting sleeve for the pass. side arrives) all at once. Thanks all
