my speedometer won't work so i took the cable off the speedometer and drove down the road. the cable didn't spin.i took it off the trans and the driven gear is good. so i need the drive gear on the rear of the trans.can someone tell me what color gear i need. it has a 350 turbo and 15 inch tires.p205 70r15.i would like to have a new gear when i tear it down. thanks

    In response to basstracker

Did you make sure the cable end was seated in the gear? Push the cable in hard when stopped while turning it and when the square end inside the tranny is seated, you should not be able to turn the cable.
