Tried to replace rear pads, but new ones wouldn't fit with old clips and new ones weren't provided. What's up with that? 2015 Impala LTZ.

What brand? How do the new pads compare to the old pads? They should be exactly the same. If not, them back and take the old ones with you to compare to another set.
I've learned nowadays to buy OEM GM brake pads. More expensive, but they fit and last a lot longer.
