Hi All.
I’m needing a windshield wiper motor for my 66 Impala, new or used but I’m cringing at the price in the Chevy catalogs. Does anyone know of any?
Thank You
John

What prices are you finding?

There are some rebuilders out there that may beat their prices.

Ya the are spendy. And the only year that works. 67 too new 65 is only single speed. I paid 200 I think for a rebuilt one couple years ago. Found it on ebay. Dude out of Chicago.

my 65 has 2 speed, I believe an option that year.

I've seen catalog repro/remans w/pump upwards of $300. I put an aftermarket 2 spd w/o washer pump in my car for under 200. saved the original to have rebuilt but haven't researched local guys yet. If you have a good rebuildable unit I'd start with anybody in your area who actually rebuilds starters, alternators, etc.

If you have a good original core, I know of a good place to have it rebuilt for somewhat under $300. They say it comes back like new.

I did order a used one off ebay. I just hope it won't be a waste of money.
Thank you

Hopefully it was fully tested. A 2-Speed takes some extra effort to fully test it properly. Unless you got it cheap enough to just use it as a core.

The guy said it was tested and works great and he does accept returns so we’ll see.
