I have a 10 bolt rear that has a broken stud from the housing right on the top. Can this be repaired or does it require a machine shop? Any help would be appreciated.

Is this the stock rear end, or a later model with a rear cover, more of what "10 bolt" refers to? Since you said, "stud", I'll guess it's the stock rear end. You'd need to remove the third member, then drive the broken stud out, insert a new one, and seat it using a nut and a stack of washers to pull it in. These studs are usually held in place by serrations on the studs shank. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

You’re correct it is the original, I was unsure what could be done I looked at the parts houses and never saw anything that resembled it. Not sure if I had correct terminology. Thank you for your help
