Hi, I'm trying to figure out if the cylinders that raise and lower the roof on 55-57s and the same length both extended and retracted as on a 54. I'm trying to source new cylinders for my 54 and are having a hard time with it. I'm in Australia and need them shipped etc.....so it's an expensive exercise. It seems I can get the Tri Five ones cheaper and easier.....so I thought I'd ask!! By the way, the 54 measures at - 36 inches extended all the way and 21 inches retracted. That's from center of eye to eye at mounts.

1954 BelAir convertible. Soon to be Heidts front end with power steering, 350 that will look like a factory experimental Blue Flame 8 (!!), 700R4 trans, 10 bolt.

1965 Pontiac Tempest drag car.
1999 Harley Road King
