Hi there, I have taken an 8C off my 1928 Chevy roadster to try to troubleshoot some intermittent issue in the motor. Even with it on my bench, when I try to jump it, it will sometimes work and sometimes not work. If I start the motor spinning manually while power is connected to it, it will function. It seems like it just has trouble getting started intermittently. Maybe a flat spot in the brushes?? Something like that I'm sure. It would probably be an easy issue to diagnose and repair for someone who restores these horns. Does anyone know of someone who will do commissioned repair work on these motors? Please contact me at Bethmyster@aol.com if you do. Please put "Klaxon horn repair" in the subject field if you write me so I won't delete it as spam. Thanks! Beth
