I haven't posted in quite a while. I sold all of my race cars so I could concentrate on my 57. I'm so close to the finish line.
Has anyone used crash wrap to protect the paint during assembly? The paint is almost a year old. So I think that it's fully cured. It will get a final buffing before I put the trim and bumpers on.
If I could figure out hot to get pics from my cell phone to this site, I have a couple of hundred pics of the build.

Crash wrap won’t be the best choice in my opinion. It adheres a little too well. Even with the paint well cured it will be kind of a pain to deal with. It’s also quite expensive. You usually only need to protect the edges of panels, so a few layers of masking or painters tape is usually sufficient.

I feel your pain since while building my car I had to rub out several accidental scratches from people walking by with keys, bikes, tools and such. Rather than Crash Wrap which as mentioned can cause other issues a cheaper and fine solution would be use some painter's tape to the edges then painter's tape some thin closed cell foam over the sides of the car like the doors, fender sides and rear quarters. Attaching the painter's tape to the trim and securing it at the base. You if you are really concerned than simply add a layer of 3.5 mil plastic over the top and this will protect the painted area from any accidental rub from items in you garage.
