Does any company currently manufacturer a suitable replacement for a 1957 Hydrovac unit? Something that at least approximates the unit size and stopping ability? Bendix 377870, Chevy PN 3733967.

This would be the accessory unit that mounted on the firewall and is not connected directly to the pedal.

In New Zealand and Australia, there is a brake booster unit called the VH44 made by a company called PBR.
We have one on our '57 4dr hardtop and at first glance it resembles the HydroVac. T works really well.
I believe the company was Australian, but this unit has been copied by our Eastern guys.
May pay to Google it to see if it's available on Ebay.
PSS Apparently Amazon show it available.

Thanks. I found the VH44 unit on Amazon. Would you be able to post a photo of the unit mounted in your 57?

I did fabricate my own mounting brackets using the driver side m/c bolts.
