I am getting ready to replace the starter in a 1927 Capital A Truck for the 3rd time in the last 2 years. Everything else seems to be running good. Last Oct I pulled the generator/regulator and had them fixed and put the battery in storage. Last weekend, we put the generator/regulator back in and that battery after it had been charging overnight - hit the starter button and very weak attempt at starting - hit the button again - and the starter just made a "whizzing" noise before it stopped doing anything. Just wondering what could be overlooked and why the starter keeps going?
Thanks for your time.
