I've read quite a bit o' people advising over the years to throw the oe cast iron powerglide out for something else. Eleven or Twelve years ago, I think it was a Ronnie44 on here sent me a vhs and told me I could rebuild mine by myself. I had little confidence. I did it with that video (for $200 in rebuild kit) Im ten eleven twelve years gone by -- and still could drive from ny to california with my 55 - 210 and get 18mpg (6 cyl). Im being asked by friends to rebuild theirs now, and it is such a joy to work on pure mechanical oe powerglide technology - knowing it was good enough for 1955 - 57 cars - and I can do it myself!

Do you still have access to that VHS tape of the powerglide rebuild? Is it online anywhwere?
