With that cam and sound, I'd just be too tempted to see what it would really do. Unfortunately, that would probably scatter the transmission into oblivion. Stick a HD Muncie in it (to keep the column shift) with at least a 55-57 rear end. The HD Muncies were a 70's transmission used in trucks and behind BBC's in Corvette's, Chevelle's, etc. Plenty strong and heavy! I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Thanks, guys. Mufflers are Flowmasters.
Butch, thanks for the suggestions for if I do any major drivetrain changes in the future. I'm anxious for some decent weather to try this thing out on the road.
