Was that a accessory trim or standard on the Bel Air?

For sure trim and not very popular, I do not recall seeing a set of them on any new 51/52 Chevrolet back in the day. The firs set I ever saw was about 1960 on a rust out chev body.

There’s a set that came out in 51 that reached the rear tail light and also 52 but on 52 it looked more like a fin above the rear tail light.

I believe they were standard at the beginning of the 1951 model year, but then discontinued as standard equipment about mid year.

There it is gives a nice flow to add to body. The 51 Mohawk trim is much nicer than 52 personally I believe . 52 has more of a fun look

I have a pair of them that I had rechromed that I may part with, I am in need of a gage, I have the speedometer and I need the other one that has the temp, volts, etc. On a 51 Styleline. If you have one, maybe we could trade

Building this 51 is the most relaxing thing that I do.Even though it at the same time can be stressfull. But it is what Ilike to do.
