doing a 72 GMC for a customer. They bought the lower molding kit at LMC. I did not like the plastic clips they send with the kit that go in the middle areas of the moldings. So we are set up to use the metal clips that are supplied with the kit. Set the moldings all up and holes drilled and things lined up. Did not bolt the moldings down tight when test fitting things. Now the truck is painted and installing the moldings. Not really impressed with how they are installing. All line up right the way we mocked them up but when tightening them down the clips are either no attaching enough in the inside edges of the moldings or they are not tightening up against the body. Panels are nice and straight so no issues there. Just do not like how they are not snug against the body and afraid they will rattle. Even tried bending the lip of the clip so it sat in the molding more and pulled the molding against the body. Any one else have this issue? Other possible clips out there to be had? Not sure how to post pictures on here. Thanks
