Has anyone tried to add a 12V plug and USB adapter in the ash tray? A two source adapter is available. The 12V round adapter should fit right in. The USB part would be high up and fit tightly. The width should be perfect fit.

How does the ash tray come out? I will try to fit a single dual power source in there. A 12V power wire is there. Only ground is needed.

I made a cell phone holder to replace the ashtray, and used a USB charger instead of the lighter. There's a kazillion USB chargers to choose from.

You can use the existing lighter wire. FYI, the ashtray should just pull out.

Yea, the ash tray does not have enough room for a single dual power source adapter. Plus, I would have to drill another hole. I want to keep the round adapter for my dash cam. The camera power cord can be converted to USB. The 2 amp option should power the camera well. The power plug there now won't stay on the round connection. I did find an adapter which has a round port and 2 USB ports. I can insert it and remove into the original port as necessary.
