I’ve just purchased a Canadian 1957 Chevy 150 and having trouble with the paint code. My tag says Paint Code:1005 as the paint code but the auto body supplier I use says that it doesn’t exist. Everything I have says that 1005 is a good paint code for the colour Pinecrest Green. Am I crazy or is the paint shop wrong? Has anyone else had this issue when trying to return the car to original color?

Are you in USA? Maybe the reason why.

Pinecrest Green is not listed as an available color for ‘57 in the U.S. it was in ‘56 and the code in the U.S. is 688.

Canadian paint numbers are not the same as US and some colors are different also.
