I first installed a hydraulic clutch on my 47, its always been petty stiff, now its binding & sticking. Any ideas what I did wrong? I would think a hydraulic system would have a easy pedal, not a hard one.
I tried my best to have a level piston movement; Im using the original clutch pedal set up with the slave cylinder.
Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
Bru

Bruce,
Can you get under the car and have someone push on the clutch pedal. Sounds like some angle has changed or perhaps something in the linkage is bent/bending and binding.
Tony

Hi tony
Thats what I thought, but since new, its always been a hard pedal. So even though my "invention" worked in principle, I know its not right. I engineered something that doesnt belong, but it was the only way to get clearance enough to make it work.
The big concern was trying to (your comment); make sure everything was straight when the plunger went in and out from pushing on the pedal.
I thought I did this but it feels like its going in at an angle, like crooked. Maybe the slave isnt large enough? I used a Wilwood cylinder for a clutch as far as I can remember.

Thanks!
Bru
