oil pan sump positions & depths. using bolts holes from the front
'56-57. bolt 2- 4 3/4", bolt 6-7 1/2", drain at bolt 8 at the bottom. this pan uses a special long oil pump and a long oil pump drive shaft. will not clear a 350 crank.
'58-64. tapers from the front to bolt 4 at 4 1/2", bolt 5 is 7 3/4", then tapers from the rear towards the front, bolt 8 is 6 3/4". drain is in the front of the sump. this pan does not fit a '55-57, as it hits the steering rod. will not clear a 350 crank.
3 step pan, bolt 3 3 3/4", bolt 4 at 4 3/4:, bolt 6 is 7 1/2". drain is on driver side. this pan fits a '55-57 nice and will clear a 350 crank.
there is a mid 60s to late 70s truck pan that has a long sump, will clear a 350 crank. I have no measurement yet.
