Who has changed their fan size on a 25 without a problem? When I added the 59 upgraded 235, I added a short shaft water pump, worried about clearances. Now the fan hits the Harmonic Balancer. I added 1/2" spacer and it still hits. With the present fan I've only got about 1/2" to the radiator. If I change the fan it might work, but I worry about overheating? They make a Derale Flex Fan, 6 blade 13"fan. Has anyone out there made this change and what was the outcome. Any other suggestions. Thanks

Ralph

I don't know about that. I put a flex fan on a car a few years ago and it flexed all over the place!!

When I was an EMT, I got a call for a bleeding arm. When we got there, the arm was darn near severed from the flex fan breaking apart when he was reaching over the engine. That was enough for me to never want a flex fan in any car that I owned.

Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

We have heard of several stock fans doing the same thing. You need to check them for cracks around the rivets and center.
