Ok so this morning I decided to dig into some old parts and accessories I’ve been storing away for decades to see what I had so I could either install on my new 63 SS convertible or sell to fund 63 accessories and parts. One thing I knew I had was a spare NOS 1964 cruise control I had saved being I was actually looking for a 64 SS convertible and have a couple cars worth of rare 64 nos accessories and parts but couldn’t pass on the deal I found on a the 63. So I start digging into the box remembering how much younger I was when I first bought this setup and how it was just in a box with the deteriorated old 64 cruise box top showing the numbers 985934 saying Cruise control and so I never looked into it. Just assumed what was in there was a 64 cruise unit and nothing else. After reminiscing on being young and all the cool parts I used to find I start digging into the cruise to shoot pics assuming people are gonna wanna see the contents inside the box instead of be like me and just assume it’s a 64 cruise unit and not care lol. So I’ve had a few 64s and removed and installed enuf cruises from them to know most the big parts and some of the smaller stuff. So I start pulling out random NOS obviously parts for a cruise that don’t look like a 64. Put them aside then notice a 64 full unit in its own box with more parts under it. At this point I’m fully intrigued and notice another cruise brain at the bottom of the box and a installation manual. Low and behold it’s saying 62 on the date. It’s clicks in my brain OMG I had a 63 NOS cruise all this time! I find a original order sheet with the parts from perfect circle that they sent to the dealership and shows a 64 cruise and parts for 63 was ordered. So I look thru the stuff and find lots of doubles of random parts for the 63 unit. Looks like they sent them like random doubles of most pieces except the brain and control switch. Which I find and is flawless! I mean that dash switch is like it was just chromed. Almost brought a tear to my eye seeing that by some miracle I just got a 63 SS that was pretty loaded already and I planned on loading it up more and figured the cruise was gonna be a hard score. Funny thing was I was hoping to trade someone the 64 cruise for a 63 one and there’s one in the box with it. Now to the bad part. This thing had about everything you could need to install the cruise minus 2 key things I wanted an only nos one for. Brackets and the cruise sticker that goes over the vent sign on the dash. Now I can’t complain I found a free cruise control just cuz the brackets and sticker are missing but to me they were pretty key things. So the question is now that Im done rambling, does anybody know of reproduction brackets or have access to originals? Crazy thing is few years back I had a 63 cruise dash control switch connected to a brain that had it’s brackets installed still and nothing else so to me it was useless so I sold it to some guy thinking I’d never need it. Anyone able to help? If not I hope you enjoyed my story of the free 63 cruise control that came with my $400 64 NOS cruise some 2 decades or so ago, cuz I know I did.

There is a fellow in Canada that has reproduced the brackets, and you can find him by searching "1963 Chevrolet Cruise Control" on eBay.
I have a complete 1963 cruise control package and need some 1962 cruise control components to replace the 1963 parts that are different. If I find the parts that I need, I will sell the parts that I will not have a need for... i.e. the 1963 switch and bezel.

Well I so happen to have a NOS 61-62 cruise. Another funny story is I went to buy it and the guy says he has another NOS unit that looks early 60s so I assumed prob another 61-62 maybe 63 or a 64 one and it ended up being a 59-60. Well actually a 60 since 59 it wasn’t out yet but you know what I mean. Told some people today and already getting bugged to sell all my cruises. Lemme finish going thru my stuff then will let you know if I have the parts you asked about or about just doing some kind of swap
