I just got a new tool that I found to be quite handy and thought you might be interested. It's a Ryobi hand-held air compressor. It's a One+ tool that uses the same 18V battery as the other Ryobi tools. It's lighter than an electric drill and has a digital pressure display. It pumps up car and trailer tires in about a minute and is very easy to use, and you can take it with you to use anywhere. I like it and think you would too.

Ohhh I love It! Maybe dewalt will do one.

I avoided battery tools since a major let down in the 90’s with a 7.2 volt craftsman. That was until my cousin handed me a 20v dewalt when I was struggling with a lug nut on his Silverado 2500. I laughed. He said try it. I now own a dewalt XR set. Very handy. I can’t imagine life without it now.

This and something to jump a car sound like something I would buy!

Hope your topic doesn’t get moved I am glad you posted it

drew,

You asked, I answered. I have one of these, and it is the cat's meow!! It says it will jump a 5.7 liter engine three times between charges.

My son used it to jump start his boat the other day. It has a M-11 Cummins in it. For those of you that don't know what that is, it is a 671 cubic inch truck engine in a 48' open water work boat.

Charges in your usb port. About twice the size of a cell phone.

You're welcome,

Griff

I have the same unit as Griff. The battery in my wife’s car died and a Good Samaritan stopped to give a jump. It would not start. So I called my son who had one of these...it started right up! So I bought my own.

The only problem is it seems to always not be in the car that needs jumping! I’ve considered making up a “go bag” that I take in whichever car I’m driving!
