I am working on a project truck and would love advise as I'm pretty green to restoration projects. (Pictures in the link below)

When I received the truck it was a rolling chassis with a 350 small block put in it and a mustang II front end. I've began working on it and had the truck jammed and started to run electrical but I've gotten to the point where I'd like some input to continue forward.

I feel like I should install the heating/air condition unit(currently do not have) and all instrument clusters, speakers, vents on the inside before I finish wiring it? Am I on the right track? And if so does anyone have any aftermarket ideas for these?

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I'm not keeping it 100% original nor is it going to be a street rod but it'll be a classy in between.

    In response to Springer89 would be wise to know the interior setups before you continue to wire it.

Specifically, yes...the Heater/AC system installed and the gauges. Classic Instrument or Dakota Digital make nice gauges for all of our classic cars/trucks. do some googling on them for your year of truck.

You have the beginnings of a nice truck Springer89. Post some pics as you go so we can help out.

Welcome to ChevyTalk. I used a YnZ harness to rewire my 48. It is stock. If you go for one of there harnesses or another manufactuer, ask about adding AC and turn signals.

I'll continue to post photos as I keep progressing.

Some of the issues I am facing is that the gentlemen I got the truck from (who has passed away) seem to gather all this stuff at car swaps and sales like that. So I have a wiring harness from 'It's a Snap' (which seems to not exist anymore) I have gauges that don't have any rubber grommets to fit behind the bezels or brackets to attach to the dashboard, odds and end little things like that. It's finding out what I have and what I need to buy in order to complete it which has become tricky, the parts manual doesn't necissarily help when you're not restoring it to it's original manor.

What did everyone do for a radio? If you were not putting the classic radio back into the truck. Retrofit kit in the factory cutout, mounted under the dash or the glovebox?
