We are signed up for Cruising the Coast in Biloxi in October. We will be driving our '50 tin woody with 261, B/W 5 speed, and 3.70 rear end from a '57 Chevy. I have been told that AC will be essential. Do any of you folks have good experiences with after-market AC systems for our stove bolt motors?

Thanks for any suggestions folks.

Jack Jenkins who used to be a poster here has AC on his 50 Fleet-line with a 302 Jimmy in it. He seems to be happy with it. I am thinking Vintage Air but may be wrong.

Vintage heat and air in my 51, no issues, but it did require a new location e brake set up.

Do a search for "installing vintageair" topic#359081, The guy has pictures etc. on a OldAir, Hurricane he installed in a 50, think it would be what I'm thinking of going with, good fit under the dash.

You might want to check with a Member here at CT, that goes by LOBUCROD. He is a dealer for Old Air. He's a really good guy to work with. He will give you all the Info on the Old Air system.
You Might also try this http://www.oldairproducts.com.

Hope this helps, Johnnie.

I did Vintage Air in my 50 coupe. I used the Gen IV system and it did a really good job. It was kind of over kill in the coupe, and I ran it several times in 100 degree temps. It worked well for me.
