So have decided to go Big Block in the new project.
Specifically a 454 we are going to look at tomorrow. Does anyone know what type and part number frame and motor mounts I will need to find?
As always, thanks for the help.

What is currently in your Car. Alot of times you can you the towers that are there?

If not try these Towers.

As for the actual Rubber engine mounts.

2 5/8" wide one

narrow

There are also poly ones.

These are the 327 mounts on my 66 impala.

Left (narrow)

Right (wide)

One tower is wider than the other.

So one will require a different rubber mounts.

One is 2 3/8" and the other is 2 5/8"

I have been told that the 454 will fit on the 327 mounts but I have not tried it yet. But will shortly when I swap the 327.

Thanks Ted,
No motor or tranny in it when I bought it last week, but cowl tag says it was a V8 car. I'm guessing 283/327.
Thanks for the info, I will look into your links.

My 65 was originally a 327 car. When I swapped in a 454 the factory 327 towers had the correct dimensions.

I replaced the OEM rubber motor mounts with aftermarket poly mounts.

67 car for what it's worth.
327 to BBC on the original 327 towers no problem. Prothane mounts no issues.
