Hi all. When I finally took the truck to a mechanic for ignition stuff, they also checked the oil pressure gauge which I thought was faulty. They said it was faulty AND he dash panel with the gauge was bad too. How did he know that? I have a new oil pressure sensor that I DREAD changing, but will get after it this weekend. Dash panel is another story.

And yes I bought the socket for the sensor. And have a swivel socket.

I have never been to a mechanic but I'd say he was wanting to charge you a lot and needed excuses. The sensor will probably fix it.

And you Mr. Bowtie, are correct! Not only did I follow a video that showed working from the passenger side with the Oil Sensor socket, but I did it myself in about 45 minutes with only the air filter stuff out of the way! And the gauge works just fine!

Sucking down a Miller High Life right now. Feeling pretty cocky..

That's great to hear! I hate to see "mechanics" take advantage of people in hopes that they don't know any better or won't do any research.
