Nice, I have the same interior and the car has a fair amount of options and have been thinking about adding the mechanics. Looking around at Ebay and some other sites the stuff is pricy. What bothers me is the all claim they fit everything 62 and such to 70 or so. Is there a site I can go to to verify that? None of the ones out there look alike? 65 SS, numbers match 396, TH 400,A/C/pwr windows, tilt, AM/FM, 4 ch stereo, brakes, steering, convenience grp. even the A/C compressor is genie. I usually tear my cars apart but just couldn't do this one. What's your opinion on adding this?

Here's a power bucket setup the seller states is from a 65 Impala SS, so it's a visual representation of what to look for.
Check the parts catalog for numbers and any common to other applications which would allow you to broaden your search.
For something removed 40 plus years ago this one sure is rusty, most likely from poor storage.

Here's some additional wiring:
https://www.lectriclimited.com/vehiclesearch/resul...
It was a later in 65 option so it's not covered in the assembly manual, but it's also not covered in the 66 assembly manual unfortunately.
Not in the 65 accessory installation manual, and I don't have the 66 version to say if it is or not.
Edit: In discussion with CT member timmyg65, he pointed out that in 66 the bucket seats were changed to "Strato" so a 66 power track differs in that it now has to attach to a narrower seat.
Don't look to 66 or later years as a source for a power track for your 65 seat.

NO such thing was never offered as a factory option. People install them from other models.

That's what I thought too, I couldn't find any document that list them for Chevy's only Caddy's Buick, Olds. Any one else have any info on if they were offered? PS, I have my door panels off getting ready to install new ones and I think there is a stamped out section for the single switch in the door shell. I will look later and pass it on, if so why the cutout if not offered??

My guess is that scored for cutting out patch in your door panel is for the driver's side remote mirror installation.
The interior pic is from a GM executive car that was specially equipped, or so the story goes, that was on eBay a while back.
Power driver's bucket seat is in the 65 assembly manual on the alphabetical option listing page as A46 code, but as was said, power vent windows are not to be found.

Im pretty sure the car in the pic is not factory optioned that way at all. They used 66 tilt tele collars on a 65 tilt, it doesn't even fit right. That car has had most of those options added. Its sad when people try to pull a fast one on potential buyers. What's wrong with just saying I wanted to add these options because I think they are cool, instead of saying this was a showroom demo, or executives car, brass hats car or a half dozen others I've heard over the years. All lies, very little documentation on a lot of cars that are supposed to be all original fresh restoration. Just my 2 cents.

Agreed, Pontiac, Olds, Buick and Cadillac but not the Chevy for some reason.

Your 2 cents may be correct.
But it still looks nice! Really nice!
After all they are our cars to do what we want with them... Once the are not original kinda makes them open season! ? Personally I like period correct, but as they say there is an a$$ for every seat, some like the seat and some don't, That's why we are here and like "Chevy"talk
I seen a Evening Orchid color 65 years ago at back to the 50's in MN. (2004? maybe) with an the original 409! It was a nice car as well.
Some people do not like to post pics in fear of criticism
I like pics! all kinds
That's my 2 cents as well....
