I have a stripper '66 Biscayne that came with a 6 cyl, 3 on the tree, manual steering, single pot drum brakes, no radio. I have converted it into a resonable L72 tribute (427, M22, 12 bolt rear, 7000rpm factory tach, etc.). The original car had a painted dash, however there are factory mounting holes on the top of the dash up by the windsheild that would have been used to mount a padded dash. Question; did all '66s come with these mounting holes regardless if it was painted or padded?

    In response to 66cayne

I've looked at pics of Biscayne and Bel Airs online and they all appear to have vinyl dash pads. My Impala dash was painted also but had a dash pad over it.
