I am trying to put a after market power steering conversion kit into my 55 Nomad. I have checked vendors for the pieces necessary, no purchases yet. The pump mount brackets will not work with my Hurst saddle front motor mount. Also I run the long water pump. I am not changing either set up. Looks like the mount is in the way of the pump location? Who makes a bracket that will work? Thanks John.

Is it the company called Marches?
Or does ecklers sell those that mount way up?
Another one called CVF?
Look at those places, I could never get past not running a mechanical fuel pump with the Hurst Engine Cradle.

Thanks for reply. I agree on the fuel pump issue, but try finding a better than stock mechanical pump to fit no matter what mount you have. Very tight and ports never face the right way. I do have acess holes in the heads and I thought there was a water pump mount setup also.

I have seen brackets that mount the ps and alt up high In front of the heads.
I looked at ecklers but they have changed the pictures and it's hard to tell.
I looked at March's web site, small block, long water pump and they may have what you are looking for,
they have something that mounts them up high in front of the heads.
Seems like there is GM brackets that mount the alt high on passenger side.
But then using the gm alt mount versus what you find for the ps pump would there be pulleys issues?
Just saying I ended up welding in side mounts.

Thanks again, my research finds no brackets for my setup. Cannot do side mounts without complete driveline redo as far as mounting points go. Looks like a home made welding project. Need to figure which available mount will allow altering. Looks like all brackets bolt to lower boss two holes in block were the Hurst piece mounts. Also gusset on mount is in the way. Oh well it"s fun with cars forever. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone.

March's bracket set up one passenger side, but then it's short water pump,
This would clear the Hurst Cradle,
Driver side, PS mount?
There has to be an answer,
Issues like this are like a puzzle,

i like making my own brackets. i get what i want at little cost and they are one of pieces. my current setup probly took about 100 hrs to create. i would be looking at a pump with a remote reservoir. best part is you can run just about any pump on the planet. i would look at parts picks to get an idea of whats doable. i would also recomend short belts they look nicer to me and they tend to stay on the pulleys better.
