097 camshaft. the last lt1 solid might be better off
if you do not have over 10 to 1 compression.

The full number is 3736097 and the settings were .012I and.018E. Later GM came up with better cold non running lashes of .008I and .015E.

Cold settings were better for my 327/340. Worth 1.5 mph and a .10....Musta been off previously.

Those are great gains for my estimates of the time it took to do the valves. I used to use the mphs as my baseline due to small tires. The 327/250 62 Vette suddenly picked up 4 mph when I had cutouts put in the headpipes. I think the stock set up must have been very restrictive. Small changes and great results.

IF YOU CAN,T SMOKE THE TIRES AT WILL,FROM A 60 MPH ROLLING START YOUR ENGINE NEEDS MORE WORK!!"!
IF YOU CAN , YOU NEED BETTER TIRES AND YOUR SUSPENSION NEEDS MORE WORK!! |
