Hey guys I'm trying to get my recirculating heater working . So far I have the blower working and in the process of flushing the coolant system. My question is how do I get the heater to run at Maximum temperature while I flush the cooling system. Does the heater core always run hot coolant when the engine runs and once I turn on the blower the heat blows in? Do I need to run the blower while flushing the coolant?
Thanks

My thinking, and I could be wrong, but pushing the HEAT button down all the way should allow full flow of the water through the core while flushing the system. As far as if the core stays hot all the time, I guess that would depend on how far the valve is open and what setting that the fan is on. With the valve completely open and the fan off I would think that the core is as hot as it will get and when the fan is turned on it will begin to cool down and how fast would be determined by the fan speed. I don’t think that the fan being on or off has any bearing on how the coolant moves through the system. Lamar
