Anyone using the Sanden compressor for AC in 59 with 350 engine. Would like to have a mounting bracket without using billet. Would be mounted on passenger side. Thank you

In the past I've used Alan Grove steel brackets that I've painted black on 350 SBC's.

I think I have the Alan Grove bracket for SBC, new in the box, if you're interested. I'll give you a nice deal on it. I'll get the part number for you Saturday morning.
I used one on my 348 in my Delray. It works very nicely.

Hold off checking part number Bill. I might have asked too soon. I'm going to look into other options. I apologize for causing you to parts chase for me.
Thank you

ac compressor is probly the biggest load on a fan belt. if the brackets are flimsy they will break. if they mount the compressor far out they need to be very sturdy. if the bracket adjusts the belt tension it makes things worse. many factory ac compressors are mounted with 4 bolts because of these problems. you also need enough belt wrap around the pulley minimum of 90 degrees should work. more is better so you can run less belt tension.

Hey Larry, no need to apologize - you didn't ask me to check! Anyway, it is the Alan Grove 119L brackets for SBC with long pump. Good luck with the project!
