On my daughters Grand Prix...theoretically the same as a Malibu (I think). She was complaining about the turn-signals not working. She says that she checked the fuse (I love it, I brought her up to check the 1st thing 1st). I go out and try it...nothing, no lights nothing, anywheres, at any corner. I try the flasher to see if all 4 bulbs are burned out. It flashes at all 4 corners...THEN, the switch mysteriously starts to work and all 4 outside lights begin to work.

Could it be the flasher gizmo?

At present, I am waiting for more symptoms. She said that the other day, that they worked for a short time the other day and then stopped (the day before that, they were dead).

Not sure what year the GP is but I would suspect the turn signal switch on the column

I had the same thing with my 02 Monte, they replaced the 'turn signal module' which I assume was the flasher you're talking about and not the switch on the column, as it only took a half hour.

02 Monte Carlo (bought new)
