G’day gents (ladies), I have a 58 Biscayne that I am putting a 454 big block into. I would like to put Doug try y headers on it.
Has any one here done this or know some one who has.? Or other headers or manifolds that have worked.
Would love to know which ones fit and some photos would be amazing.
If any one has has a 58 with a later big block any knowledge would be awesome too.
The knowledge hear is so vast I’m sure someone can help.
Thanks in advance.

I don't think Doug's (or anyone) makes Tri-Y headers for a Big Block into a X-frame car.

Sanderson has shorty headers that work well. Hooker has long tubes that will work, but hang below the frame.

Hey Mike
Thanks for the reply, yeah I contacted Doug’s and they thought what I wanted was unique.
What I was hoping was somebody would chip in with another set for another car that would fit. eg I was talking to a bloke today with a 57 with a 454 and he got his headers from a 1st gen Nova.
I was hoping for Doug’s but anything that fits may have to do.
Being in Aus you can’t exactly rock down the street and grab a set to try out.
Is there a model number for the Sanderson shortys or....yeah I’m not sure how else you would find the right ones.
Once again thanks for the reply.
