What is this little box on the driver's seat base of my 1985 Chevy G20?

Can anyone identify this thing?

Welcome to the site. It's too early for TBI. Electronic Spark Control box is my guess. Where do the wires go and connect?

ESC box for the knock senor.

Was in the same place on my 83 G20.

When that box died the engine would sometimes not start. Once I figured out why. I removed the whole ESC system and replaced it with a normal performance oriented Davis Unified Ignition HEI.
