Getting ready to rebuild my 327 soon. Crane has always been my old standby, but the company has been bought and sold a couple times over the past 10-15 years so I don't know what to expect anymore. Maybe they're just as good as ever, I don't know. Grumpy, I know you've always liked them; what's been your experience lately?

Also looking at Isky and Schneider; AFAIK they're both still being run by their founders' families and still have excellent reps.

Each of these three companies has a grind that suits my application perfectly. I just want to make sure it's ground correctly and using the proper metallurgy, without cutting corners. And oh, made in the USA.

Grumpy,

Are failures occurring with camshafts from other manufacturers? I ask because my son will soon be buying a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft for a Gen 1 350 sbc.

Some have holes in the bottoms of the lifters to aid lubrication. How is that working out?

Thanks!
